So when QUT University at Gardens Point needed refurbishment, our client needed an efficient dust control solution to ensure reconstruction work wouldn’t affect the uni’s staff and students.

Clearly, QUT couldn’t afford to shut down their usual everyday activity just for renovation work. And that meant contractors onsite needed a heavy duty dust control system

SURFACE PROTECTION WHERE IT COUNTS

Along with high quality dust control, working next to an operational area of the university meant our client needed temporary - heavy duty surface protection for QUT’s existing floor coverings and carpets. All Preparation Equipment recommended self-adhesive carpet film as the primary defence against accidental damage of these areas.

Another weapon in the battle to prevent damage was our Polyweave heavy duty surface protection. With its super strong, woven polythene construction, Polyweave surface protection is also incredibly easy to install. By simply rolling out the industrial strength woven material and taping it to the floor, Polyweave gave a complete barrier against spills and wet foot traffic.

An essential piece to the dust containment puzzle was the sticky dust mats which worked as a hassle-free way to prevent dust and dirt from being walked through into other areas. Setup at every entry and exit point to the refurbishment project, protective sticky mats kept dirt and dust within the site and helped to keep the other floor areas clean.
