WHY DO WE NEED H-CLASS VACUUM CLEANERS?

On construction sites, dust has always been a problem. When you cut, drill, grind, or process building materials like concrete, stone, or timber, much dust is produced. The larger particles are heavier and fall to the ground, whilst the tiny particles can remain volatile in the air for a long time, with the most hazardous dust being barely visible to the naked eye. This is why every site needs an efficient H-class vacuum for concrete floors.

New Silica regulations coming into effect around the country mandate the use of H-class vacuums & dust extraction systems when working with Silica containing materials. The size H-class vacuum required is directly related to the types of activities you do. If you operate with hand-held grinders, you'll need a vacuum capable of 25CFM at the end of the hose, per 25mm of grinding disc.

H-class vacuum cleaners are an essential component of the dust extraction system used in the workplace to improve the working environment and remove harmful particles from the air. A standardised test classifies the dust extractor to meet the requirements indicated in the applicable work environment laws.

H Class (High hazard) is the class with the most stringent criteria, stipulating a filtration efficiency of 99.995% for particles measuring from 0.1 to 5.0 μm. The machine is capable of maintaining a MAC (maximum workplace concentration) of <0.1 mg/m3.
